Those wedding vows

At the end of December I posted about DJTech’s Bachelors,

well the musketeer fell on 2 April 2011. I would just like to congratulate both of them of a spectacular event and also wish them an awesome lifetime together.

The ceremony was at a little church in Blouberg, it was very nice and quaint, it was also the first time in years I was in a church. I though candles would catch alight the moment I stepped into the church. After the ceremony we did the whole pictures thing even a few on the beach. It was so nice… I really think those pics are gonna come out stunning. Big ups to the photographer! Even Fur-Face looked snazy even though he decided to wear white socks.

After that we moved to the Two Oceans Aquarium, we where a bit early so in true Mr.Metro fashion, he suggested we went for a drink at the nearest bar. Little-Fur (son of Fur-Face) here decided to splash a bit in the ponds and got him good and wet. He is so cute, I so need to get me one!

At the reception everything looked great. We where set up at the predator tank and it was amassing. Keep in mind I have not been there since I was about 12. I had to make the speech on the groom from the 3 of us since the other 2 where pissies. We eat like kings and really enjoyed ourselves. At about 10:45 the Bride and Groom made their way to their bridal bed and we mad our way to our beds (leaving the poor brides maids to clean up alone, oops).

It was a fun day, lots of smiles and happiness. I really hope to one day have it too. One of my biggest fears in life is that love is a chemical in the brain, and that after a while the receptors gets saturated and the effect goes away. But these guys give me hope, and so does the ParentalUnit. My dad is at the moment working in Mossel Bay, my mom is here in Stellenbosch and even though they fight a lot at the moment because of the financial stress I can still see that they love each other. I really hope I can find my penguin mate…

Those holiday posts

Here is an update, quite a few of my friends came through to Mossel Bay for a bit, some are still here and some have left.

On Christmas day we had a fest as usual. This year it was at my reverent uncle’s camp sit. It was nice, after I goined hag1 and ze german on the beach. It was the first time ze german had a summer christmas, so it was a fun and interesting experiance for him. On sunday we went rock climbing at our old spots in Mossel Bay and had a shit load of fun! We wanted to absail but some idiot decided to steel our stainless steel bolts.

Yesterday was DJTech’s bachelor’s party. We dressed him up like a fairy/bee and taped a can to his hand, hung a banner around his neck that said “Need Money 4 Honeymoon” and made him walk through the streets of the busy hartenbos. We where chased out of the campsites so I organised us permition to walk the streets at least. We also went into a bar where one guy baught us all StrawRum shots(80% alcohol) and put R150 into his can.

At the end of the walk we counted the money and it totaled R800 which is awesome. I think we would have made more for him if we could have hone through the camping sights. All went well till we got to the house and decided to change our plans, after that the party went down hill. I won’t go into it, but it was bad and not in a good way.

After the party went south Mr.Metro and I decided to goin his sister for a drink in Mossel Bay. After a while Mr.Metro faded and I staid with his sister and friend. Just before going home we poped into the local gay bar (yes, there is a gay bar inMossel Bay). Again it was mostly full of twinks. I’m not big on twinks so I did not really try to make new friends, but it was good being in the company of the homosexual persuasion.

Any who, that’s it for now.

Those highs and those lows

Like I said before, I took off last week from my lab work and visited the 2 of the 4 musketeers. Well I spent the weekend before that at MrBig’s from the Saturday. The week leading up to it I developed a cold sore. Not Cool!!! But I got some Fenivir and it started to fade and it looked like it would be gone by the Saturday, so I was calm. The Friday I went out with skinny and a few friends to a pizza place in Stellenbosch and later felt something on my lip, placing me in a state of panic! I had developed a second cold sore! The day before I see my man and go with him to Gat party (Gay Langarm). Well I just dosed the thing with acetone and Fenivir and tried to keep it away from MrBig, but there were no chance that we would be able to keep our lips apart. A nurce friend suggested we also use a lip balm called Lipsano. So I popped about 1000mg of Ascorbic Acid (VitC for those non biochemists) put on the Lipsano and we made out when ever we wanted to. To me that just showed me how much he liked me, by being willing to contract a STD from me. Hehe

Any who, he did not develop a cold sore, either he is immune or the combo of all the shit worked. We had a great time at gat party. Saw Semi-Sweet and his BF and a few of my other buddies. I loved dancing with MrBig, we made quite a team. I lead so he did not always know all my moves, but caught on quickly.

The next day we spent almost the whole day in bed, sleeping… mostly. The evening we went to the house of a couple that I am friends with. The one guy is probably the only guy on my blog I never gave a name to, so let’s call him Jock and his BF Jill. They made dinner and we talked a bit about the old and the new. I really enjoyed myself.

On Monday I had to come back to Stellenbosch to do a talk and stayed till Wednesday. Wednesday was also my labpartner, Labby’s Bday. So to celebrate, Skinny and I bought her Pucca Chai and on Tuesday went to watch some movies at her place and she made her famous nachos.

Wednesday was Mr.Metro’s day. My 2 Mossel Bay Lesbians lives with him, so I got to see them as well. Mr.Metro made delicious pasta and we played Xbox and drank wine, while chatting the night away.

Thursday I was off to DJ Tech and his fiancé. We played some Guitar Hero then went to the Tygervally and played tenpin bowling and ended the evening off with cocktails at Buena Vista social café at Tyger waterfront.

Vryday I had to come back to Stellenbosch again for a Departmental Soccer games day. After that I met a Lady Linux enthusiast, think I’ll call her LadyLinux for lunch at Simply Asia and after that I was off to MrBig to watch the soccer mach from his couch. Saturday evening we went to a friend of his’ 21st party. Again dancing like crazy. Even some of the straight guys asked us to dance. It was so much fun!

Sunday I met up with Hag2, to catch up on how she was doing. She is also planning a wedding so it was difficult enough just getting her to meet with me. But we chatted like we were back on the balcony of her varsity flat smoking a cigarette.

Then on Monday it all came crashing down. Not only did my computer break, but I also received fines (yes pleural) for speeding. These fines were from February when I was driving a rented car for the university to a conference. The fines amount up to R1200! I don’t have that amount of cash! So I wrote a letter, pleading for a lower amount. So this week did not start of well.

I also watched the idiot of a ref give Bafana Bafana’s Khune a red card for trying to kick a ball. OMG!!! Well I was with Mr.Metro at Quay Four at the V&A Waterfront so at least the vibe was awesome! Hope this did not bore you too much. Will have a hotties post soon. ;-)

Those Gay Hearts

As I am typing this I am listening to Dark Roman Wine by Snow Patrol, now why am I listening to a song that would drive a single man crazy, you might ask yourself. Well that is, because, in a way, I am not single anymore. I met this awesome guy and yes he is also reading this blog, but I am not going to hold back because of that. I know that

this might sound very familiar, but I guess that is what my life is like. I met this one on the internet, and I don’t think that I was really looking to fall in love, all I wanted was to play around. Ok lets start from the top. We started chatting on this site on Friday and swoped numbers, thinking that I could get some fun out of this one. After this years disastrous attempt at creating relationships I felt like I needed to just get away from the idea and have some fun (like back in 1st year). So we started texting and and throwing in some dirt talk along the way, till my battery died while out partying with Hag1. At about 5am i got into bed and SMS’d him. He was either still awake or my sms woke him. Any who we chatted for a while till I fell asleep (I think so did he). The next moring I woke up to a message coming through on my phone, it’s him. Again chatting a bit, and then he asked me if he cant come through for some fun. Now he lives in Cape Town so it’s about a 45 min drive for fun, but I am not going to stop him. The problem is, since I live with my parents I needed to find somewhere to do this. I organised something in a sort of secluded place (cold floors) and I met him close to the spot. From the first moment I saw him (in person that is) I know this will not just be a “funbuddy”, I want more! For those who know what I look like he is built a bit bigger and taller with beautiful blue eyes, short hair and is 33 years old. Well the fun was fun and I had the biggest smile on my face since for the rest of the day. Not even the Blue Bulls wining could bring down my spirit. After he left we kept chatting and I told him that I really liked him and he said that he feels the same. I was in heaven!!

To steal a name from Sex and the City, MrBig, was amazing and I had to see him again, he makes me feel like a 16 year old school girl… wait, what?, but this time not in a gloomy place like the last time. This time I organised a place with a comfy couch that we could use on Monday. He drove all the way through again and met me there at 9pm. We chatted for a while then kissed andchatted and kissed and then we … well MrBig is a brilliant kisser, knows exactly what to do with his tongue to drive me mad!!! Any way, he only left Stellenboch at about 12:30. I have been struggling to concentrate on anything since then!

I was suppose to see him again tonight, but then last night, out of the blue, a cold sore appeared. I told him that he can not come through, because we will not be able to kiss. Seeing him without being able to kiss him would just be torture! So it is postponed till I can get rid of this virus! So, I am off the menu and am on my way to being a bf. Hopefully he can help me with a few points on the Bucket list.

In other news, I am taking a break from Lab work next week and have decided to spend this break visiting some of the CT friends I don’t see that much any more. Mr.Metro and DJ Tech is on the list I want to visit. If you feel you need to be added to the list please let me know and I will try to make a plan.

Those Num NUM’S

Guys and Gals, I found heaven…

I was at Mr.Metro’s flat-worming this weekend and staid over. This very cool and funky lady he is seeing at the moment (She is my new CT Hag) brought us a little peace of heaven for breakfast.

Apparently in the Spar of Fruit and Veg in Parklands and Tableview there are these Chinese guys that set up a table and make Custard filled Pancakes. It is amazing and only R3,50 each!!! Here is a link to a blog post of someone who posted about how they make it and shows pics of it. http://bit.ly/bQWjfa

Those Loki influenced Times

Since I now have my own website I think I should post more often. I will do a few posts on both queery.co.za and on blogspot until the website is completely up and running. It still has a few bugs that I am struggling with, but I hope to have it all fixed in a few weeks.

Back to updates:

Last weekend was a long weekend and I got invited to drive with Mr.Metro to Mossel Bay. It was a spur of the moment decision on my end, since he asked me the Friday afternoon. I went home at about 5 and had a little while before he would be in Stellenbosch, so I decided to take a 30 minute nap. I woke up from that nap with a huge head ache. Mr.Metro arrived and we decided to drive the N2 way to Mossel Bay instead of our usual route through the tunnel. So on the N2, right before Sir Lowrys Pass, we hit a traffic jam because of the road works. After getting out of the jam, we were still in quite a bit of traffic, which was expected since it was a long weekend. Before getting to Riviersonderend a rabbit runs out from the bushes to our left, though we tried to evade it, striking it was unavoidable. We then stopped at Riviersonderend for a smoke and to check out the damage to the car. There were no damage that we could see and after Mr.Metro’s last drag on his rolly, we decided to head off again.

Less than a km after Heidelberg we saw the bakkie in front of us drive over a dead buck. We couldn’t avoid it and had to try and go over it ourselves. We were probably driving 100km/h by that stage. A few km later the coolant light went on and we knew there was trouble. We kept watching the temperature gage like a hawk. When it started rising we were looking for a place to pull over. Standing next to the road with only 1L of water we tried poring it in to the coolant reservoir but it was just draining out as we were poring it in. At least it was cooling the engine as it was going through. After the engine was cool enough we drove (more like freed) the car all the way to Riversdale where we had a better look at what had happened. We saw that we would not be able to drive like that all the way to Mossel Bay so Mr.Metro called his brother to drive through and tow us. While waiting I saw an Engine garage with a Wimpy. Walking in we saw that it had already closed at 8pm. Should have known in such a small town. Asking the shop attendee if we could at least get some coffee she told us that it is broken. Seeming like to world was against us that night we sat down in the closed wimpy drinking cold drinks we bought at the shop, When You Say Nothing At All by Ronan Keating were playing in the background, after a while we noticed tGod of mischiefhat the song would get stuck at a certain part and start over. I swear in the 15 to 20 minutes we sat there, it probably started over 15 to 20 times!!! Eventually we decided that the music in the car would suit our ears much better. Eventually Mr.Metro’s brother arrived and towed us to Mossel Bay, but not without going through a road block!!!

The rest of the weekend was Loki free, thank Zeus!!! Mr.Metro’s brother fixed the car (putting back the pipes and stuff). There weren’t too much damage so we the car was fine to drive by Saturday afternoon. We went fishing off of the train bridge at Grootbrak and didn’t catch anything, though Mr.Merto went deep see fishing the next day and caught a couple of stokvis which we ate that night. I must say his mum makes a mean fish!!! Any who, the air-con was still broken when driving back, but that was about the only bad luck we had on our way back.
