Yesterday, 17 May 2010, was International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO). Unfortunately I did not do anything but tweet about it. Damn, Unlike a few years ago where I climbed into a closet for Lesbigay for IDAHO. Now that was a fun day! but the guys at http://www.dayagainsthomophobia.org/ organised a kiss-athon video that is really cute. If I had a good photo of me kissing a guy I would have sent it in, but there isn’t. Well not a good one that is.

I think I have to do something cool next year though. Even if it is just doing a spesial post on this blog.

Our South African religious leaders did pitch in though. Some of them friends of mine: Dr Allan Boesak, Ms Elna Boesak, Rev. Marius Brand, Rev. Ecclesia de Lange, Rev. Laurie Gaum, Rev. Judith Kotzé, Rev. Pieter Oberholzer, Bishop David Russell, Canon Rowan Smith and Mr Marlow Valentine released a the following statement: South_Africa_Statement_against_homophobia_for_17_May
